Travel in Style #9: A visit to Malacañang Museums

In the latest feature of Webpreneur Space Newsletter, we will share the visit of NCANTILLER Brand Design and Marketing Team in some of the Malacañang Museums to capture and learn more about art, culture and leaders of our country.

Take a glimpse on their visit and some background about the structure by watching the clips below;

TEUS MANSION\

Teus Mansion was named after Valentin Teus Yrissari who founded Tanduay Distilleries Inc. This is where his family lived for many years. The mansion was inherited by her eldest daughter named Concepcion. Since none of the children were interested in the mansion, it was offered to former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos in the late 1970s. The mansion was restored by British Designer Ronnie Laing and Antique Dealer Viring De Asis in 1975. Teus Mansion served as a guest house for visiting dignitaries during late President Ferdinand Edralin Marcos, Sr.

At present, Teus Mansion is now open for public viewing since June 2023. It now serves as Presidential Museum where you can learn about the lives of our 17 Presidents, from Emilio Aguinaldo (1898) to Ferdinand Marcos Jr. (2022). The interior also showcased the First Lady of the former leaders and some memorable items they used during their administration.

BAHAY UGNAYAN

Bahay Ugnayan serves as a repository of the current President of the Philippines. By visiting the place, you will get to know more about the life and journey of our leader before he became President. Once the term of the current President expires, the museum will remain to showcase the education, political journey and personal stories of the next President.

This house served as our Presidential Complaint Center before it was renovated to be a museum of the current President. The newly renovated Presidential Complaint Center sits next to it. This museum was donated by the Madrigal Family to the government shortly before World War 2 and was used as an office before it was converted into a museum last May 2023.
